As you may or may not know, we recently donated two works of 'art' (otherwise known as cross stitch) to a silent auction, in aid of the Marie Curie hospice in Woolton. It was a wonderful event that raised lots of money for the hospice. There was amazing art, lots of sweets, a super fun tombola (we also donated some bits for that!) and balloons with lights in them. All round win! Our cross stitches have gone to a lovely home, which is amazing news. Both of our cross stitches are original designs, that both complement and contrast with each other. You can see Sarah's traditional 'Home Sweet Home' design if you have a peep below. Here's mine!

Mine is a little different! I purposely used only two strands of thread, to keep the stitches visible. It's minimalist! The aim was to move away from the traditional idea of cross stitch, but not completely. Hence the home/heart theme, but mixed with a science element. I was going for science textbook! I wanted to try to make some fabric art that would appeal to boys. Did I succeed? I hope so.

Hope you like!
xoxo
