BLOG!!!!!!

well, I've finally finished it!
'It' being the embroidery i started AGES ago for the boyfriend's birthday. Sadly i didn't get it finished on time (typical) but it's now done and here it is :)

on his birthday, we went for nice food and to see his family. here he is in his new t shirt my parents got him:

and here i am trying to get the embroidery finished in time.

So, i recently got some really pretty new fabric, and the plan was to make some make up/little zip up bags to sell. BUT, apparently they don't make a zipper foot for my sewing machine (oh John Lewis, how you annoy me sometimes!) so I've now inherited THIS very old sewing machine (zipper foot on it's way):

I'm going to decorate it with buttons and stickers, much better than brown and beige.
As well as new fabric, i picked up this cute buttons too:

here's a picture of the half finished scarf I'm making for my friend Chris (he kindly gave me a LOAD of wool for free)

I'm doing it all in 'boy colours' and it will have a green and yellow Zelda feature at the end. He loves Zelda as much as I do. God bless Nintendo! anyhow, the scarf should be finished in a couple of days :)

I have been addicted to fortune cookies this week. they taste so darn good! i love the silly things they say inside too: 'you should be able to undertake anything.' greaaaaaaat, thanks for that! oh well, they taste good!

In the last blog i posted, i showed y'all a dinosaur t shirt that i was going to make into a vest. 100% success! yaaaaaaaay!

Works in progress

I've FINALLY nearly finished my owl bag. i ran out of thread on the owls ear and had to wait AGES to get more :( just need to figure out the strap now, then i can show it off!

in other bag news... NEW KNITTING BAG ALERT!!!!

it was a lovely surprise present, and one i shall use nearly every day. gotta love polka dots <3

i love the pictures on both of these T's, but they're just too big for me, and not in a cute, slouchy, way. just in a 'why are your clothes too big?' way.

my main reason for not being as productive as usual, is this dreaded game

THEME HOSPITAL! i cant stop playing the darn thing!
i really need to re-prioritise!

Embroidery

I've been trying something new today (it's not finished yet)......

an embroidery for my boyfriends birthday (which is on Tuesday! YIKES!). I'll post pictures when it's finished, hopefully by Monday. One of his music projects is 'Riuven,' in case you wondered, which is why it's on the picture. I'm quite enjoying it, but it's taking a long time.

In other news, i have a new owl necklace.

cuuuuuuuuuuute!!!!

not much of a blog post, i realise that. but hopefully by the end of tomorrow, or Sunday, i should have finished a couple of things I'm working on (embroidery, owl bag, cardigan) and I'll get pics up then :)
