DINO CROSS STITCH KIT!

YES! You heard right. We have a new cross stitch kit out today! YAAAAAY!

The Dino Love cross stitch kit is perfect for any dinosaur lover, or just anyone keen on cute cross stitch.

Kit includes:
Cross stitch fabric
needle
dino chart
instructions
Anchor embroidery thread.

measurements approx 4"x4"

Click HERE for the etsy link, or HERE for the folksy link. For those who buy, we'd love to see photo's of the finished cross stitches. We're thinking of starting a fan page you see, so send in your pics!!!

In other news, i FINALLY finished the Zelda scarf for my friend Chris (i have no idea why it took me so long):

i crochet the scarf with loads of left over, half balls of wool i had in boy colours. then knitted the Zelda triforce patch and sewed it on (it's sewed on a bit wonky... i don't think he noticed!).
I'm so glad to get it done in time for autumn though :)

I've been knitting a chunky, slouchy hat for autumn/winter.... it's VERY nearly finished. I'll post photo's and the pattern in a couple of days. I'm tempted to put a big pom pom on the end... should i?

I (Sarah teapot) also landed a new job, yay me. It's at Barnardo's charity. I don't start for a few days but I'm major excited. I've not had a job for a while so the money will be lovely! Less time for crafts, which is really sad, but I'll still have two days off and every evening to knit.

oh yeah, i nearly forgot about this again.....

that's me, balancing a baby hat on my head. i knitted it for my mums friend who just had a baby. i seriously love that hat though, I'm going to do an adult size one i think.... I'm all about pom poms these days! bring on the winter!

OK, I'm off to watch toy story 3..... over and out!

Visit us! Follow us!

Want to show us some love? We'd like that. As well as following the blog you can also reach us on Tumblr and Facebook, and buy our things from Etsy and Folksy.

Let's be friends!

Oops!

So, I have a confession to make...I have been a very bad blogger lately! But that is about to change. I won't be leaving poor Sarah to do everything anymore!

I've been very super busy lately, but I have managed to fit in a few small makes - my favourite being my lovely new slouchy beret.

Unfortunately I can't remember what wool I used, which is a shame because the colour is gorgeous! It's super slouchy too, so perfect for covering up my many bad hair days.

Cute! Besides that, Paul and I went on a lovely anniversary weekend trip to the Lake District. We managed to see loads of lovely owls at the World Owl Trust at Muncaster Castle, and also a fair few alpacas at the Alpaca Centre near Penrith.

I'd love to own an alpaca one day, they're lovely odd little chaps. Perhaps one day we will have our own Penelope Teapot alpaca! Wouldn't it be lovely to spin our own wool?

We also visited 947987012 different tea rooms, in search of the best cream tea. We vote for the Beatrix Potter Tea Room in Bowness as our Lake District winner (nothing has managed to beat Betty's Tea Room in Harrogate yet, though).

In other news, the Geek Chic Disguise Mittens are now available on etsy and folksy. Exciting!

We've got loads of lovely PT stuff up on folksy and etsy now. Just follow the links and go and take a look! Expect more super soon, including an amazing new Sarah Teapot Cross Stitch Kit. It's totally rawrsome!

Ciao for now!

Bex xoxo

Bits and bobs!

OK, so I've been slacking in the blog department! feel free to shout at me.
I thought I'd start with something that I'm totally obsessed with at the moment.....

VEGAN HONEY! total yum yums! how have i lived without this? it's made purely from apple and grape, only 13kals... and delicious!

OK, enough of the honey now. I finally sewed the ends in on my brown crop cardigan:

it's made from soya yarn and is soooo soft. I'm going to sew down the two collar bits so they're not flapping around. cute though, dont you think? i took it from this pattern: ravelry link but changed it by adding 3 inch's to the length and a rib round the bottom instead of garter. i also put a button hole in, so i could fasten it. i think it looks cuter closed.

next on my list of 'things to knit' is this pencil scarf:

i already have another scarf on the go, a hat, and a scarf for a friend to finish before i start this, but i WILL do it. it's too brilliant to not own!

i got this hat THREE years ago, for £1. I've worn it constantly since. it's now all fuzzy and looking pretty old, so it's about time i make a new one. it'll look pretty similar, but a slightly different shade, and I'll post the pattern up :)

i ordered this brooch from Super Cute Kawaii a couple of days ago, it's made from felt and was a real bargain!

i got a free sticker and a discount card for my next purchase with it :) i love little freebies like that!

the other new thing I'm lucky to now have, is this:

yes! it's a little clay Penelope Teapot!!!! isn't it perfect?!
my boyfriend made it for me, and I'm going to take it round with me everywhere i go so Penelope can have adventures too :)

oh! and Bex got me this owl book the other day, it was a lovely surprise

'Wesley: The Story of a Remarkable Owl,' I'm not far into it, but i love it so far and I've found out many facts about owls. THANKS BEX!!!

how lovely are these skirts? I'm pretty obsessed with heart prints lately. The first one is from River Island and the second is from Miss Selfridge. i aim to own them both.

Last week i inherited an old sewing machine. it was pretty ugly... but look what i did (before and after shots):

i got carried away and decorated my computer speakers too! YAY for kawaii stickers:

All day today I've been busy sewing... YES! that means new items will soon be available :)

So stay tuned over the weekend for the launch of our new Etsy and Folksy shops with pretty hair bows, and even prettier mini mouse make up/crochet bags <3
you wont want to miss out!!
