mug!

ahoy! gosh, i haven't blogged for ages, sorry!  this full time work stuff is draining me.
not a lot has happened lately.  I'm STILL knitting those sheep.  they're taking longer than expected as I'm not getting proper lunch breaks at the moment, and i was going to dedicate lunch times to knitting my sheep. never mind!

the family went for a meal last week, for nanna and daddy's birthday.  the service was soooo slow, but the food was yum yums.  here's some pics:

I found this little fella in work a couple of days ago:

he has a little chip on his head (bless him!) and he was originally part of a set.  his wife got sold, so i wanted to give him a good home.  he now looks after my embroidery threads:

i love him very much!  apparently they were made to put false teeth in  :S

i found this little owl too!  I've named him Humphrey and he says hello!

i FINALLY got the fairisle knickers i wanted from topshop! YAY!

They make me feel Christmasy, which i hate... it's not even November yet! I was shocked to see that someone in my road has actually started putting xmas lights up outside their house and in their garden... I'm not impressed!  i remember when people didn't start getting christmasy till about 2 weeks before Christmas day. now it seems to happen nearly 2 MONTHS before.

anyway, on to something a bit more lovely! look at these treats!!!

brownies baked in an orange skin! i REALLY want to try this.  has anyone done it?  i would like to know if they end up tasting like chocolate orange? yum yum yum.  my vegan brownies would taste sooo good like that.

i don't have an awful lot to show for myself today :(  but tomorrow i will post some lovely photo's of what i ACTUALLY did today (i haven't uploaded them yet you see).  my knitting group did The Bed-In at the Bluecoat today.  John Lennon style!  more info on it in the next post!

so i shall end with some nice pictures and this cardigan that I'm wanting from Miss Selfridge:

Been a while!

Hi all! I'm sat here with my hot water bottle as i type this blog post.  after a couple of lovely sunny days, i cant believe how cold it is right now!  i must invest in an electric blanket.

right, sadly i don't have much knitting to show at all.  sowwy :(
i am spending all my lunch breaks and spare time knitting these darn sheep:

they are cute, i DO like them, but I'm just rather fed up of only knitting sheep.  did i ever mention what they're for?  this winter, there is going to be a sheep trail around Liverpool One (the main shopping bit in Liverpool).  they're going to be in all the shop windows... and I'm knitting them all! i still have loads to knit, i must crack on when I've finished this post!
my last blog post seems so long ago, it was just before i started my new job.  it's going pretty well, I'm rather enjoying it actually!  I'm still in training in another store, and waiting for 'my shop' (as I'm calling it) to open properly.  I've purchased a couple of things while I've been working there... though I'm trying not to, it's so hard!  my latest finds include these two coats:

this picture doesn't really pick up the green in the coat, but it's super cute, and it's a River Island.  we get some really good stuff come in to Barnardo's,  you should really go and look!

This one is more of a mack, like a raincoat.  it's a ditsy floral pattern and i LOVE IT!  the best thing ever for rainy days.

now, other new purchases.  i really shouldn't have got any of these, I'm so poor, but a girl needs retail therapy now and then!

This is actually what i wore today.  cable cropped jumper from new look, love it! (the shorts are also from new look, but the teenage department! i get alot of bits from there.  it's good being short sometimes!)

This is what i wore under the jumper.  a body suit (or 'baby grow' as my boyfriend calls them) from primark.  i got a couple of these, they're good to wear for work.  i wear my jeans low, so i don't want to expose my underwear bending down, so these are perfect.  what else, what else.... oh yes!

This is also a primark.  they've got such good stuff in there lately.  i noticed this fair isle jumper a while back, but only got it last week.  the only size left was a 12, so a bit big for me but i got it anyway! as it's wool it might shrink in the wash, but i like the slouchyness of it anyways!  here's a close up of the pattern:

i got some new slippers too, from Accessorize.

cute, no?  notice a knitted theme with all of my purchases?  well it is winter!

a couple of weekends ago, my friend Caroline took part in a street art competition.  it's apparently the only one in the UK.  it was chilly, but it was really good.  i got snappy happy:

This is Caroline's face at the end of the day.  a work of art in itself!!!

me and Caroline.... darn my goofy teeth!

us again, looking at art.  me with another silly face!

she got me this mini knitted cake, with a chocolate inside. it's pretty sweet:

have you seen these leggings from River Island???

They're a little bit brilliant!  i must buy these and wear them on Christmas day.

speaking of leggings, i saw something today that disturbed me somewhat.  i know that everyone is fully entitled to dress in whatever they please, and that is great... but i really do question peoples decisions sometimes.  Why oh why do people insist on wearing leggings as trousers/pants.  today i saw a girl, with a rather large rear end, wearing leggings and a short jacket.  the leggings where stretched SO tight over her bum, that they'd thinned and i could see that she had NO underwear on.  They were THAT thin!  WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY???
wear a long top over the leggings, or wear proper trousers please.  and given the choice, why would you rather wear viscose/polyester leggings and not cotton?  cotton is warmer, nicer on the skin and are better quality.  This problem wouldn't happen as often if people just wore cotton leggings, they will not turn opaque.  they only cost a pound or two more in primark, and they'd save people alot of embarrassment!

Examples:

Rant over.  here are some pretty pictures to end the blog.  I'm going to knit a sheep's head and wait for the boyfriend to come round after his band practise.  Night night y'all!

Quick one!

This is only a quick one, as I am off to bed after a long and busy day. Just wanted to share some lovely blog mentions that we've had lately. Big love to all who have featured us! Take a look:

Linziloop featured our Sadface Disguise Mittens in a Cloud 9 themed Folksy Fridays. The mittens have now sold! But don't worry, there are still some other unique designs left at our folksy shop.

The lovely Anna also featured us in her Geek Chic Folksy Friday, over at The Lime Garden. The RobotsInDisguise Mittens are still available in our folksy shop. Go look!

We also got a lovely mention over at flonightingale. Flo bought some Geek Chic Disguise Mittens for her adorable daughter - go and check out the cute pics. We love happy customers!

We've had lots of messages asking when the Geek Chic Disguise Mittens are likely to be returning - they really are proving to be super popular! Unfortunately we are having some material supply issues at the moment. Sadface. But as soon as that is sorted the mittens will be back!! So keep an eye out!

That's all for now, folks! Have an ace Sunday xoxo
