Puppy Dawg!

It's soooo late, but here's the beautiful card that I got for Valentine's Day from Robi.  Bless.

I've had a lovely day off work today (back tomorrow though!) visiting a new puppy!!!!
His name is Benny (his owner is Craig, our friend) and he is soooo cute.

We spent the afternoon playing and napping, then I came home, stuffed my face with noodles, tofu and vegan scones for dessert (which I baked this morning) YUM!

I've been working so much lately, I haven't had much time for knitting.  I'm owed days off though, so I'm taking a couple next week.  Here's my cowl so far.  It's taking so long, but I've only had time for a couple of rows here and there :(

CUTE CUSHION ALERT!
I spotted this labrador cushion in Marks and Spencer last week, and HAD to get it.  It looks so much like my dog Tammy.  Sadly, they didn't have a black labrador cushion, like my dog emma, so i got looking online for one.

M&S cushion

I found these two cushions on etsy, and i was very close to purchasing.  (click on the doggies to go to the page).  But then I carried on looking at the etsy page and sore that they also made hunting cushions.  SOOOO NOT HAPPENING!  I refuse to give any money towards anything slightly related to hunting.  It makes me sick.  So it's a no-go for the cushions.

I might attempt to make one myself instead.

So, hands up those who love Kiki's Delivery Service???  I thought so.
I didn't realise it was a book before it was a film.  I ordered it and it arrived yesterday in the post.  I have so much to read at the moment, and not enough time to do it in.  I have to finish the book I'm on, then read my Roald Dahl autobiography, THEN Kiki and then....

HOWLS MOVING CASTLE!!!! YAY!  Another pretty brilliant Studio Ghibli film that was a book first (yet again I didn't know).  I got this one on the post too. It also has a follow on book, so hopefully they'll both be good.  I'll let you know.

Yesterday the weather was actually nice.  The sun was out all day, which makes me in a good mood.  I always like to plan ahead, so I thought about what I'm going to need for warmer weather.  The main answer is shoes.  At the moment i have 3 pairs of boots on the go, and that's all.  I need some cute little flats for work in the summer months.

I saw these Dorothy Perkins sailor pumps.  Rather cute, and only £15.  Not bad!

And for a slightly smarter look, Iron Fist's..... should I?  Or is it too teenage emo?

How delicious does this cookie look???

I'm going to have to figure out a vegan version, as Oreo's aren't vegan here like they are in the US (for some mad reason.  I have no idea why!)  but looking at it is making me drooooool!

cute bits and bobs

I saw this lovely photo a while ago.  I can't stop looking at it:

I LOVE granny square crochet.  Traditional, yet trendy. Perfect!
THEN i saw these topshop shorts:

Very cute.  I doubt i could wear them as every day shorts... sadly.  But PJ shorts?  I think so!  I think I'll wait for them to go into sale, as £32 is a lot for me.  OR, I could attempt to make my own?  We'll see.

How sweet are these TEACUP BRACELETS? Made from actual teacups.  I would love one of these, though I'd prob be scared to wear it, I break everything!

From one etsy shop to the next.... these pretty amazing wooden embroidery creations are so lovely!

I've no idea how they do it, making all the holes etc.  But they're so cool.

I don't know the origin of the next picture, so do tell me if you know.

PRETTY KNITTED SOCKS!! ahhh! How I would love to own these beauties!  Just when I'm craving some woolly over knee socks too!

Knitted tea anyone?  Yes please!

Cutest teapot and teacup I've ever seen!

I'm sure most of you have seen this crochet transformer already... but has anyone got a pattern?  My brother wants me to make him one for his birthday, which isn't till May.  But it looks like I'll just have to make it up as I go along!  Scary!!

There are a lot of 'if i could wear heels' shoes, but these are the nicest I've seen in ages:

I always love Irregular Choice!

It's Valentine's Day tomorrow... and I have to work :(  I'm off the next day though, so me and the boyfriend are going to do something lovely then instead.  We're both poor at the moment, but if we had the money i would INSIST on him getting me a little something like this:

Have a lovely Valentine's day everyone!!! <3 <3 <3

Miffy buttons!

I have been ill this past week, poor me.  I resorted to Internet shopping and watching day time TV.  The boyfriend has looked after me a bit too :)
So I came across BLONDESBACKYARD on folksy. Her stuff is CUTE, go and have a look.
I purchased a pin cushion ring and some Miffy buttons (I love Miffy!):

Even the packaging is cute!!
It came really fast in the post, 10/10 for service!

I will put these buttons on one of my cardigans I wear for work :)

The pin cushion ring is lovely!  I think I'll wear it all the time! not just when creating.  Not bad for £5!  I'm a happy teapot!

I also got given these very cute little buttons from PURLESQUE:

Not the best photo I've taken, but my camera is ageing :( poor thing.  These heart buttons are so sweet!  Only 50p each.  I often buy cheap-o cardigans and change the buttons, that's what I'll be doing with these beauties!

I'm knitting myself a snood/cowl (whatever you want to call them!).  I wear my primark one every day for work, I thought I'd knit my own as I'd get a lot of wear out of it.  So I picked up this yarn:

The photo doesn't really do the colour justice.  The brown isn't as dark as it looks.  Neither is the blue actually.  So yes, it's blue, grey and brown.  I picked the brown to go with my brown boots, as I don't have many brown accessories at all.  I shall keep you updated on it's progress.  It's made me more interested in knitting again though.  I find when I HAVE to knit things for other people, and to a deadline, it puts me off wanting to knit.  But knitting for myself is nice and relaxing, so it looks like I'm back in the habbit! YAY!
