Birdy!

Well, I gave in and purchased a certain Primark top I've seen EVERYONE in.  But I think I appreciate it more than the average wearer, and I will wear mine for years to come, unlike most who will wear it for just a month....

Birdy Primark top

I've spotted afew people on the Internet knitting my designs lately.  I love it!  It makes me happy to see people enjoying knitting, especially things that I've put out there....

This is the first time I've seen someone knit it in red.... i like it!
This one is VERY cute....

Sailor Doggy!

How sweet is that?  Little doggy looking smart in his sailor suit.  Here is Bananagirladg's Ravelry page.  Dogs are my favourite animal, so it makes me extra happy to see!

Remember the blue New Look dress i posted in one of my Wednesday Wantings.... I actually purchased it! YAY!

New Look dress

It is quite obviously not ironed here.  Sorry about that.  I was just so keen to get it on and show!  Look how much of a tip my room is.  Really must clean up at some point.

A little tip for any vegans out there who like something sweet.... PINK PANTHA WAFERS!  To be totally honest, they don't taste of much, but they're dairy free and give you a nice sugar boost if you need one!

To end this post, I've found a very sweet picture.  Sometimes i like Blythe dolls, sometimes i find them a bit scary... but this is cute:

  4. Sailor romper suit

Possibly the best socks I've ever seen (no.1).  How cute would these Egyptian socks look with little ballet pumps?  My obvious love for all this sailor style has clearly not worn off yet.  I love the colours in the top (no.2), they're not your typical sailor colours.  When i get somewhere official to live, I'm so going to get one of those kitty clocks for the kitchen (no.7).  I like the light pink one on the left the best!

LONDON!

First of all, HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the good daddy's.  I have the best dad ever and here he is:

Tom (brother), me, Dad

Dad, me and mum

Awww, look how blond I used to be!

So I went to London over the weekend, my first time ever trip there.  People think it's strange to have lived in England for 25 years and never been to see London, but I have now so I'm not weird any more.  My boyfriend and his band had a gig at the O2 Shepard's Bush on Friday night.  It was so good and the best I've ever seen them play.  I'm very proud of all of them!  Here are some pictures of the day and a video that someone had posted on YouTube:

Me, Robi and Chris travelling down
All the boys!
Robi playing the drums
Me in the lounge sitting on a drum converted into a stool.

We got home at 4am the next day (and I'm still catching up on sleep) then that evening we went back out again to another gig, but in Liverpool this time.  So I've had a lovely couple of days!  I also had a tiny chance to shop in London.  The road next to the empire had at least 8 fabric shops on (I know, what luck!) so I had a nice potter round and picked up some cakey fabric.

Cake fabric and brown/blue spotty!

In other 'new thing's news.... I HAVE A NEW TEAPOT! ....AN OWL ONE!

Hooty the teapot

I was so made up when I saw him, I had to get him straight away.  God bless charity shops.  After a good clean, he's enjoying his new home in my bedroom on the shelf!
I also have a new/second hand cardigan.  I'm pretty sure it's hand knitted and rather old.  I shall be calling it my granny cardi.

Granny cardigan
Have you seen the advert for Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the 3DS? I'm soooo tempted to pay out and get it, but I'm trying to resist.  I have so many books i want to read, and knitting to do, I will get neither of these done if Zelda is around me.  Maybe I'll hold off till it's all a bit cheaper.

Wednesday wantings (3):

Wednesday wantings 3

  1. Sonic the Hedgehog t-shirt
  2. Cute cloud table lamp
  3. Topshop birdy t-shirt
  4. Another cute lamp
  5. Make your own bunny cushion
  6. Mel shoes, cute little rubber flats
  7. Knitting needle bangle
I realise that it is in fact Thursday, and not Wednesday, naughty me.  But I've had this post saved for 2 days, and I was just too sleepy after work yesterday to do it!  Sorry!

Everyone seems to be keen on the latest topshop t-shirts (no.3).  The dinosaur one is rather cool, but I just like birdies more!  tweety tweet!  I might see if it's in the shop today, as I'm unsure what size to buy online.

My friend Susan has some shoes just like no.6, but in purple.  They're beautiful.  Schuh has just brought out a cheaper version, not in purple though, so I might take a looksy in the shop.  I wonder if they're comfy, but I'm sure they're British weather proof.

The blue lamps are from Ikea.  WHEN I have my own flat, only lamps like this will be allowed!
