Folksy Summer School!

It's taken me a whole day to recover from the amazing Folksy Summer School.  Seriously, I had the best time!

I learnt a lot from the brilliant speakers and came home feeling totally inspired and determined.

I met loads of lovely, creative people and got to try out a few crafts I'd never done before.

As promised, I took some photo's to share with you all!

I wasn't sure what to expect by the event, it was the first one.  I had no idea how many people where going to be there.  The answer.... over 200!  There was quite a queue, but the promise of goodie bags kept us all in high spirits!

The location was amazing.  In the woods!  All the events/activities where in the lovely wooden hut or in the big tent.  James (of folksy) walks his dog there and thought it was the perfect spot.  It was.

I found the cutest stall/workshop called 'The button tin.'

I had a go at screen printing and lino printing:

Hung out in the crochet corner after lunch and made a few granny squares:

So tired at the end of the first day (we had to leave Liverpool early!) so we went to find our hotel room and then suss out a place to eat.  We found the nicest place called 'Blue Moon Cafe' and we ate so much!  I'll do a post on that one tomorrow.

After food we took our full tummies back to the hotel, rummaged through our goodie bags and did some crafts:

Pens, pencils, note pads, molly makes magazines, badges, fabric samples, sweeties, and some cutie business cards.  THE BAGS WHERE GOOD!
Boy does crafts before bed:

Only a couple of pics from the second day.  I was so engrossed by the speakers.

It took us AGES to get home (mainly because we stopped for chips) and came home to find our sunflower snapped *boo hoo*

The best weekend was had! I loved every minute of it!
