Craft Your Own Cath Kidston

Making my own!

It is no secret that I'm partial to a bit of Cath Kidston.  I have a couple of hair scarves, a big mug and a cute pin cushion.  Sadly, most of it is a bit out of my price range right now.

I saw a cardigan on their website a couple of days ago and I fell in love.  I WANTED IT!  But at £80 it just isn't happening.  I pondered and moaned and then decided to make my own.

Here's the cardigan I NEEDED:

The Cath Kidston

The little mushroom motif is adorable!  And we all know I love knitwear more than any other clothing.
However, I don't wear a lot of cream or white, so maybe me not affording this isn't too bad as with my version it can be whatever colour I like!

I designed a little cross stitch chart, which everyone/anyone can use if they wish.  It's not exactly the same as the knitted version above, but it's similar and still cute.  I thought I'd stitch it up and then sew it on to the pocket of a grey cardigan I got from a charity shop a while ago.  After a second look, this cardigan does not have pockets but I'm sewing it on anyway!

Here's the chart:

Here's the finished cardigan:  I'm really pleased with it.  Mainly because I had all the tools and materials in so I didn't spend a penny!  I used 14 count aida.

Other things I'm drooling over from Cath Kidston at the moment:

Cute Birdy Jumper
I love Bluetit's
Cottage knitting bag
Penelope Teapot loves a teapot!
Biscuit tin!
