They got married!

What to do when friends of mine get married?  They've already set up home, got everything they need etc....

Their own wedding cross stitch of course!

This is quite a traditional thing to do I suppose.  My parents and my grandparents (and so on) all have a hand stitched, framed piece with their names and the date of the wedding.  So I thought it'd be a nice thing to do for a fellow craft lover.

Cross stitch always takes longer than I think, and it was soooo hard keeping it a secret.  I'm usually posting my creations on Instagram (@penelopeteapot) constantly!

I tend to do the whole piece stitching in one direction first.  This way I don't have to look at the pattern for quite as long.  Once I've done it all one way, I can do the opposite way with less stress!

I enjoyed stitching this.  It's always nice to make something for someones wedding I think.  It means so much more.
I am now open to make these (or similar) on commission.  If you'd like me to make one for your wedding/friends wedding/birth or Christening etc then drop me an email at penelopeteapot@hotmail.com  I can change designs/colours to meet your needs.
